Présentation

En septembre 1997, Henri de Pracomtal et sa famille fondent la société
CHÊNE & Cie, qui regroupe les tonnelleries qu’ils ont acquises.

TARANSAUD

TARANSAUD, founded in 1932 by Roger Taransaud, was purchased from Hennessy in September 1997. It coopers French oak barrels and tanks.

CANTON

CANTON COOPERAGE, founded in 1939, was purchased in October 1998. It coopers American oak barrels.

KÁDÁR

KÁDÁR HUNGARY is a joint venture created in February 2008 by Chêne & Cie and Budapesti Kádár, the oldest cooperage in Hungary, property of the Molnar family. It coopers Hungarian oak barrels.

XTRACHÊNE

The XTRACHÊNE brand has been the oak alternatives department since 2011.

Chêne Services

Chêne Services provides innovative technical services, supplying technological equipment and monitoring technical parameters. It was created in 2016 within Chêne & Cie. Its activities are dedicated to the control of vinification and wine ageing.

CHÊNE & Cie regroupe les activités de service et de distribution des fûts
sur tous les marchés.

Pôle de recherche

Le pôle de recherche, expertise et œnologie (département Recherche & Développement), créé en 2000, est en région bordelaise.

Pôle approvisionnement

L’approvisionnement  en chêne français est assuré par deux sociétés de CHÊNE & CIE : Chêne Bois depuis 2008 et Sylvabois depuis 2024.

Nos filiales de distribution

  • Chêne Australasia en Australie et Nouvelle-Zélande,
  • Chêne South Africa en Afrique du Sud,
  • Chêne Chile au Chili,
  • Taransaud North-America aux Etats-Unis,
  • Chêne Distribution en Europe, qui héberge aussi le service Fûts d’occasion.

Dans tous les autres pays viticoles du monde, la distribution des produits est assurée par des agents ou bien directement par les marques de CHÊNE & Cie.

Rodolphe de LEUSSE

Chief Executive Officer

Graduate of ESCP Business School (Ecole de Commerce de Paris), MBA INSEAD

20 years expérience in the Wine & Spirits industry within Moët Hennessy, Piper Heidsieck and Rémy-Cointreau, as Director of Development, CFO and Managing Director for Europe.

Joined Chêne & Cie in January 2023.

International experience in the sale of wines and spirits: UK, Italy and 5 years in Asia.
Joined Chêne & Cie in July 2015.

Véronique mauget

Company Secretary

Graduate of ESC Marseille (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce), 6 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Joined CHÊNE & Cie in October 2002.

François Litoux-Desrues

R&D Director

Trained as an engineer, Master's degree of Food Sciences. 7 years at Moët & Chandon. Joined Chêne & Cie in January 2019.

Nicolas Tiquet-Lavandier

Nicolas Tiquet-Lavandier

Managing Director of Taransaud

ENSCBP Engineer (chemistry and biology), oenologist with a degree from Bordeaux University, MBA from ESSEC. Joined Chêne & Cie in 2003.
